- Description
- Cambus, closed since its final years, remains represented by this 40-year-old grain from 1976, matured in refill hogshead #11527 and bottled by Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular range. Four decades allow the grain to develop honeyed cereal, dried apricot, and the deep, mellow character of extreme maturation without excess oak assertiveness. Bottled in November 2016 with only 108 bottles produced, it represents a whisky at the far edge of age and rarity. A historical artifact for serious grain whisky collectors.
