Ledaig, Tobermory's peated alter ego, emerges from this 11-year-old expression with smoke tempered by briny island air and a finishing touch of virgin oak spice. Distilled in March 2010 and released by independent bottler Alistair Walker in June 2021, the cask adds bold vanilla and woodspice notes to otherwise restrained maritime peat. With only 279 bottles produced, this is a rare glimpse of how new wood shapes Islay's gentler cousin. A dram for peat lovers seeking nuance beyond raw smoke.
