Distilled in 1994 and aged 26 years in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, this 2021 Special Release marries Lagavulin's peat intensity with the richness of aged sherry wood. The nose reveals linseed oil, polished mahogany, and dried seaweed beneath baked figs and butterscotch; the palate balances salt, pepper, and sweet peat smoke with mushroom umami, vanilla, and hints of dried stone fruit.
