- Description
- Dalmore's 25-year-old reflects the Highland distillery's philosophy of sequential cask maturation and blending—first in American white oak, then split between Palomino Fino sherry butts and first-fill bourbon casks, married in bourbon barrels, and finished in Portuguese tawny port pipes. This orchestrated aging produces a whisky of layered sweetness: vanilla and honey from the bourbon casks, raisin and oxidative complexity from the sherry, and spiced port influence on the finish. The texture is rich and almost syrupy, with a long, warm conclusion. A contemplative dram for special occasions.
