Laphroaig 25 Year Old Cask Strength (2017 Release)

Laphroaig's 25-year-old combines heavily peated Islay character with quarter-century maturation in second-fill oloroso sherry casks and ex-bourbon American oak, bottled at 48.9% ABV without chill filtration. The extended ageing mellows peat smoke into integrated layers of iodine, brine, and tar balanced by sherry's dried fruit sweetness and vanilla oak notes. The higher strength preserves complexity and texture while allowing the smoke and spice to shine clearly.
