Caol Ila 35 Year Old 1979 (cask 10594) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

Distilled at Caol Ila in February 1979 and aged 35 years in a refill hogshead, this Xtra Old Particular release captures the distillery's signature Islay character of smoke and brine. Bottled in 2014 at natural strength with only 204 bottles produced, it represents a rare window into the classic Caol Ila style of the late 1970s.
