Released as part of Diageo's annual Special Releases, this third-release bottling is Lagavulin at its most vibrant—younger and more spirited than its 16-year-old sibling, yet fully expressive of the distillery's peat-driven character. At 57.8% ABV, the intensity is unyielding, with iodine, brine, and smoke layered over a core of malt sweetness. The high strength amplifies the textural grip and maritime intensity of Islay's most uncompromising peated style.
