Redbreast's exclusive 1989 release was initially aged in ex-bourbon before being re-casked in 1995 into a Portuguese Douro Valley Port cask, marrying Irish pot-still tradition with wine-cask sophistication. The nose carries dried mango, plums, dark berries, and coffee, while the palate develops cinnamon, exotic fruits, vanilla, and toasted oak in a seamless progression. At 57.2% ABV, this cask-strength bottling delivers weight and complexity without overwhelming, the Port influence adding dried-fruit richness to Redbreast's characteristic spice.
