Ardbeg's 1976 vintage, matured for 27 years in a single sherry butt and released for the 2004 Islay Festival at 51.4% ABV, represents one of the distillery's rarest releases. Distilled just three years before Ardbeg's 1979 closure, this whisky captures the distillery's character from its most vulnerable period, now enhanced by three decades of sherry-cask complexity. Expect deep dried fruit, toasted spice, and restrained smoke woven through a luxurious, silky texture. An exceptionally rare investment dram, suited only to serious collectors and those honouring significant moments.
