The marriage of wood types—American oak's vanilla and spice married with Spanish sherry's dried fruit and leather—creates a rounded, mature expression where neither cask dominates. Time has integrated the spirit's inherent peat smoke into a cohesive whole, with smoke becoming a supporting player rather than the lead.
