Ardbeg's May 1994 distillation matured 20 years in sherry oak before Duncan Taylor bottled it in July 2014 in just 91 bottles. Two decades of Islay peat and smoke merged with sherry wood creates a complex, layered profile: tar and ash softened by dried fruit, dark chocolate, and warming spice. The long maturation brings subtle, integrated oak; the sherry adds sweetness without dominating. A rare, historically significant bottling for serious Ardbeg collectors.
