Bunnahabhain's 15-year-old spirit finished five months in a Pedro Ximénez-seasoned Octave cask showcases Islay's unpeated side with unexpected sherry richness. The bourbon maturation builds classic Bunnahabhain markers—subtle smoke, waxy texture, and coastal minerality—while the PX finish layers dark fruit sweetness, dried cherry, and warming spice overtop. Cask strength at 55.1% ABV allows full expression of both the whisky and cask influence, with a thick, oily mouthfeel and a long, spice-edged finish.
