Caol Ila Moch, named from the Gaelic for 'dawn', is an Islay single malt at 43% ABV that deliberately pursues a lighter style than the distillery's classic 12-year-old. Maritime peat smoke and brine characterise the spirit, balanced by a more delicate approach to cask influence than Caol Ila's standard expressions. The result is accessible yet distinctive, with the signature Islay character remaining present. Well-suited to those new to peated whisky or seeking Caol Ila without heavy cask dominance.
