The Glenlivet's 8-year-old, matured in a first-fill sherry butt from 2007 to 2015 and bottled by Edinburgh Whisky Ltd., showcases what young spirit can achieve in active wood. Sherry cask influence dominates—dark fruit, spice, and rich sweetness—layered over Speyside's orchard fruit and floral character typical of Glenlivet. Bottled at natural strength with no chill filtration as part of the Library Collection, it represents one of two inaugural releases.
